Although this
list is informal and eclectic, there are a handful of official guidelines
for participation and we do request that list members follow them.
Most of these guidelines were created to make the list a more enjoyable
experience for everyone. People who cannot or will not follow the
guidelines will be removed from the list.
SUBJECT MATTER
What topics are appropriate here?
- This is a reasonably open category, but posts should at least *attempt* to relate to the Pagan/Wiccan community. (This includes humor posts.)
- List members are welcome to share information about events and activities. Please identify non-Reweaving events in the subject line, for example-- "Subject: non-RWSC: Harvest Moon Gathering"
- Advertisements, chain-letters,
and virus "alerts" should not be sent to the list. If you
think a message in one of these categories really needs to be
posted, you may send a copy to the list
manager for review.
ETIQUETTE
What is acceptable behavior on this
list?
Politeness, consideration,
and compassion are all recommended. Purposefully disruptive behavior
(i.e., flaming, flame-baiting, proselytizing, etc.) may be grounds
for removal from the list. The usual rules of netiquette apply. (See
the Brief Guide to List Netiquette at the
end of this message for definitions and guidelines.)

Can I reproduce or publish messages
that are posted to this list?
Not without the
express written permission of the post's author and the list administrator
listadmin@reweaving.org.
If the post contains quoted material belonging to other list members,
you will have to secure permission from them as well.

A BRIEF GUIDE TO LIST "NETIQUETTE"
- When joining a list, wait until you have a feel for how the group works before posting to it.
- Keep your e-mail short and to the point.
- Always use a descriptive "Subject:" line.
- When responding to a message don't repeat the entire message, just quote the part you are responding to.
- Double-check the headers on each message you send -- make sure it's going to the people you want it to reach.
- Don’t try to respond to every post, reserve your words for topics you really care about.
- Use capitalization only for emphasis. Capitalizing most of the words in a sentence is generally viewed as SHOUTING!
- Do not insult, degrade, or rudely criticize people in your posts -- this is known as "flaming."
- Avoid jumping to conclusions about the remarks of others.
- Be careful with sarcasm, readers can’t be guided by your voice and inflection.
- Mail only the messages you would be willing to claim years from now.
