Magical Ritual Workshop:
Dancing in the Arms of Spring
Creating Magic Out in The Wild
of Nature in Topanga Canyon
Monday
Evenings March 22-April 19 Led by Laura Wyrd.
In this 5 week
workshop, we will dance, sing, drum, and play creating a
magical container to deepen our connection to ourselves, each other,
and the web of all life. Beginning at the time of the spring equinox,
the time of balance between dark and light, between the inner and outer
worlds, this magical journey will take us from new moon until new
moon. Daring to fully inhabit our bodies, our spirits,
daring to tap into our inner power and wisdom, we will become the
change we wish to weave into the world.
This class is open to women and men of all levels of
experience, from those just starting on the path to those ready to lead
rituals in their own circles and communities. We will learn and
experience the tools to create and facilitate meaningful ritual.
Techniques will include: Grounding, Casting the Circle, Invoking
the Elements of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth, Invoking Deity,
Visualization, Energy Work (sensing, projecting, and raising it),
Trancework, And Transformative Spellcraft. Each Class will be
taught in the form of a very participatory, experiential ritual.
About Laura
Wyrd: I have been practicing magic, witchcraft, and goddess
spirituality for 17 years (this life!). I've worked extensively
teaching and priestessing rituals with the reclaiming collective of San
Francisco http://www.reclaiming.org including teaching for
13 years or so at the "witchcamps" throughout this country and in
Vancouver, Canada.
I was also a founding member of Reweaving here in Los Angeles.
I've also taught at the Omega Institute in New York as well as other
workshops and weekend retreats throughout the country.
I've also performed in many theatre pieces with a Goddess theme
and produced and performed on two drumming C.D.'s. Currently I
spend my time teaching yoga, training on aerial tissue, dancing,
hiking, and making magic in the hills of Topanga.
